After studying law and completing a doctorate in comparative law on a corporate law topic, I initially worked in international law firms in Munich, Berlin and New York and later as a notary assessor in Eggenfelden, Munich and Paris. From 2007 to 2010, I was managing director of the Federal Chamber of Notaries in Berlin and its deputy office manager in Brussels. Since my appointment as a notary in Vilsbiburg in November 2010, I have remained committed to the interests of the German, European and international notarial profession. In 2019, the Presidium of the Bundesnotarkammer awarded me the honorary title of „Plenipotentiary of the Bundesnotarkammer for International Affairs“ for my many years of service as a short-term expert on international legal advice in transition countries and as a delegate of the Bundesnotarkammer to international organizations such as the World Bank, the OECD and UNCITRAL.
As Deputy Chairman of Deutsches Anwaltsinstitut e. V., I am also responsible for the training and further education of lawyers and civil law notaries in Germany and their trainees in all fields of law.
