Safe! Working in the notary's office - information campaign launched by the Federal Chamber of Notaries to recruit young talent
Berlin, October 08, 2024. Good and committed trainees are sought after in all sectors. "Training in a notary's office is demanding, and many students are still unfamiliar with it. We want to change that," explains Dr. Milan Bayram, press spokesman for the Federal Chamber of Notaries, at the launch of the "work-in-notary's-office.com". This is intended to serve as a central information platform for all aspects of training and further education opportunities in the notary's office.
Anyone who finishes school today has an almost inexhaustible range of options. There are around 320 dual training occupations to choose from, plus over 20,000 subjects to study. At the same time, demographic trends are leading to a continuous decline in the number of pupils. Despite these difficult conditions, the Federal Chamber of Notaries wants to inspire more young people to work in a notary's office. "The aim is to increase the number of employees in notary's offices in the medium and long term. Working in a notary's office is challenging, but offers a good work-life balance as well as ideal career prospects," says Bayram.
The new website manages with little text, but still offers all the necessary information. For example, real trainees and experienced professionals explain in audio clips why they like their job so much. These contributions will be regularly supplemented with new examples in the future. Anyone who would like to know which training opportunities are available in their own region can check this directly with the help of the interactive map. And anyone looking for a personal consultation can look out for relevant events in the events calendar in future. The calendar gives interested parties quick access to more information through personal discussions.
If you have already completed training in a law firm or notary's office, there are various options. "We want to show how diverse our range of further education and training courses is. On October 1, 2024, we even launched a specially designed Bachelor's degree course "Law in the notary's office (LL.B.)"which arose from a cooperation between the Federal Chamber of Notaries and the private SRH University of Applied Sciences in Heidelberg," explains Bayram.
